ABOUT US

The Waterfront Cafe is a small, family-run coffee shop located on Arran Quay, Smithfield in Dublin 7. Originally opened as a newsagent and deli in 1998, The Waterfront has been serving the local residents and businesses for more than 20 years and in doing so has become a staple in the Smithfield and Stoneybatter community.

Over the years we have evolved with the needs of the local area to become The Waterfront Cafe, offering a more extensive menu, dine-in seating, and well-renowned coffee.

We offer a number of breakfast and lunch options including full-Irish breakfasts, salads and hot and cold sandwiches all made with the freshest locally sourced ingredients. 

Our proprietors, Stephen and Marion pride themselves on The Waterfront Cafe's welcoming and homely atmosphere to compliment the food they serve. Both have familial ties to the local area and so enjoy sharing its history. So much so that they have collected some historical artwork and photographs of the surrounding area and have displayed them in the cafe for our customers to enjoy. These images go alongside work from local artists and a collection of vintage signs that tie the welcoming decor of The Waterfront Cafe together.
